Tablet-PC

How to upgrade android tablet pc from 1.6 to 2.1 or higher level? We should know what the Android first is. Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware and key applications. Android includes an operating system, middleware and key applications. Google Inc. purchased the initial developer of the software, Android Inc., in 2005. Android’s mobile operating system is based on the Linux kernel. Google and other members of the Open Handset Alliance collaborated on Android’s development and release. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android. The Android operating system is the world’s best-selling Smartphone platform.
The great factor for Google Android OS devices’ popular is its higher capability with lower cost. There are so many brands adopt Android OS for supporting their electronic products. Even there are so many non branded computer suppliers offered Google Android tablet PC in very low prices. So far as I know, Pickegg offers the world’s best prices of Google Android tablet PC, for example, a 7-inch Via m8650 ARM11 800MHz 256MB/2GB Google Android 2.2 MID tablet PC, sold at the price of $78.21, with no freight cost also.

There are people may familiar with Android OS long time ago, and also an early adopter of Android. They may feel it has been left in the cold with their phone stuck on a 1.5 or 1.6. Then I will tell a way out, that is: Installing CyanogenMod 5.07. The features of this software are as bellows:
Upgrades most Android devices to 2.1
Installs all Google Apps
Built-in USB Tethering
Supports FLAC audio playback
Applications are stored in SD Card rather than in memory (and you get more space for apps)
Universal Screen Rotation,
Better accessibility
Contacts enhancements from Wysie
MMS enhancements, Massive APN list
OpenVPN integration

To the new to Cyanogen, here are steps listed for your reference:

Step 1. Root your Android device and install Clockwork Recovery (ROM Manager on the market) or Amon_RA’s recovery (Dream / Magic)
Step 2. Do a Nandroid backup.
Step 3. Install the DangerSPL if you don’t have it already
Step 4. Wipe
Step 5. Install the ROM
(Optional) Install the Google Addon if you want Google Applications like Gmail and Market

If you are Upgrading Cyanogen

Step 1. Perform a Nandroid Backup
Step 2. Install the ROM. Don’t worry, your Google apps will be backed up and restored automatically.

If that looks confusing, you’d best purchase a new Google Android 2.2 OS device from Pickegg, it is so easy and the prices are exciting, just image it is you can get most of the Google Android tablet PCs less than $200, how wonderful!

Apad-Tablet-PC

Pickegg is making clearance sale in USA. There are so many items with great discount also can offer speedy delivering. Customers in USA can receive their packages in 3 or 4 days. Everything that list here is cost effective, however; still remind that you shall do a proper online research about the options available in the market before selecting any items. One shall compare prices offered by more than one online retail stores. You can fetch cheap creative gadgets or electronics according to your budget. You can get the most desirable and amazing items that you need with low costs.

Here I give you a recommendation of great tablet PC.
Apad Tablet PC 10.1-inch Intel ATOM Processor N455 1.66GHz 2GB/32GB Win7 System MID 1.3MP Touchpad, however, the price maybe a little high, $385.19, however, this stylish tablet designed with Intel ATOM Processor N455 1.66GHz can be a perfect performer in every sense of word. Large as 2GB/32GB memory for storage, this touchpad will satisfy your need greatly! This latest 10.1-inch capacitive screen MID can definitely offer you more enjoyment beyond your expectation!
Someone asked what the difference between this and an iPad is, and the difference is that this runs Windows 7 and uses an Intel x86 chipset. That means you can run things like Microsoft Office, Counterstrike, or any other application that runs on your Windows desktop computer at home. You could even install Linux or OSX (theoretically, but not well supported). An iPad runs iOS and will only run the kind of apps your iPhone or iPod Touch can run. So, in a nutshell, this unit is more like having a Windows laptop in tablet form, while the iPad is more like a giant iPhone. That is the difference. NOTE: I do not have this unit; just commenting with my knowledge.
The detailed features are just as blow:
1.3MP camera for more shooting enjoyment.
- 2GB/32GB memory; spacious enough.
- Advanced Win7 operation system, more convenient for using.
- Provide you great visual feast on the 10.1-inch capacitive screen.
- Good quality with best service.
This is the great wonderful tablet PCs that I recommended, which are on sale now, and if you also want a quick delivery of these, then they are may be the best choice.

Amazon is planning to step into the tablet market

Apad-Tablet-PC

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos gave a winking, sort-of confirmation on an Amazon tablet in the future during an interview with Consumer Reports last week.

Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos holds the Kindle, which may be getting company from two high-powered Amazon tablets by the end of the year. Also, according to Boy Genius Report, Amazon isn’t just planning to step into the tablet market; it’s leaping in with two super-fast tablets codenamed “Coyote” and “Hollywood.

One month ago, Engadget and gdgt Co-founder Peter Rojas said he’s almost certain Amazon is having Samsung build a tablet that could run a custom version of Android rather than the Android 3.0 “Honeycomb” tablet OS. Rojas said such a device could launch as soon as this summer.

Now Bajarin said a tablet device will use a display similar to the one in the Nook and the Galaxy Tab, though Amazon originally wanted a screen that could switch between the black and white E Ink-like display consumers are accustomed to using on Amazon’s Kindle and a color LCD

The Android tablet PCs, which will compete with Apple’s iPad, the Android-based Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab slates, Research in Motion’s Blackberry PlayBook, as well as the HP TouchPad, will feature LCD screens, support Adobe Flash and uses Nvidia’s Tegra quad-core chip.

Bajarin’s report is the latest in a pile of evidence that has been steadily mounting since Amazon launched its Appstore for Android in March.

I believe Amazon looked at the Android market and saw that it was becoming fragmented and that it would be quite difficult for any of these players to create their own fully integrated app store, media cloud and storage solution. As I stated earlier, any Android competitor can only do this in a piece meal fashion, not in a highly integrated manner.

Google’s android operating system has been a dominant player in the rise of the mobile phone operating systems. Now for the first time in history, this startlingly clean and easy to use operating system is now available for use on Tablet PCs. These android PCs come in a variety of models and have shown extremely promising results for the future, and more than that, for now.
And, I can sure that if Amazon can do this effectively, it may easily become the iPad’s toughest competitor to date.

Review on PickEgg’s Clearance Promotion

May 31, 2011 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

It’s been several days since PickEgg launched their clearance promotion for this famous electronics wholesaler’s first anniversary. Let’s see what they‘ve done for the promotion and how does the promotion doing.

Before the promotion begins, there’s a lot of preparation work. They picked different products out of different categories for different demands. They slashed the prices down so that the promotion would be more attractive. And then they needed to design a special clearance promotion page which must be attractive and eye-catching. And then before the page officially launched, they have to test it over and over again until nothing’s wrong with the promotion page.

Tablet-PC

I noticed that they have designed 2 clearance promotion pages and they launched both. One is under the Clearance tag and the other is on the time limited promotion page. Actually the products on the 2 pages are the same, only the design and the layout are different. For customers in the unknown, that may be a little confusing although not many troubles.

As soon as the clearance promotion page launched, they need to promote this page and the news. They use different ways to let people know that there’s a big clearance promotion with 25%-70% off. They wrote blogs about it, released news about it and sent emails to their members to deliver the great news. Finally the promotion has got some sales on both pages.

The reason of the small success of the clearance promotion is the tempting pricing and great preparation, and quick shipment. All the clearance products are shipped directly from their warehouse located on US, which means American customers can get their order within 3 days after the order is placed. And the shipping is free just as usual.

Anyway, there’re also some disadvantages of this clearance promotion. For example, the layout on both pages is not organized enough. It would be better if there is some kind of filter or categories to help locate the products to the right one customers are looking for.

First hand experience of using the world’s cheapest Google Android tablet PC

May 26, 2011 by · No Comments · Electronics

Tablet-PC-TCL-OPENPAD-6-mm

Android is developed by Google and originally launched as a smartphone OS. Android has since gone through a number of updates and is now found on more devices than any other OS. Growing applications base also rivals those developed for Apple’s iPad. Android OS are so popular now, especially its low prices, which maybe the biggest attraction to all the tablet PC users. There are so many brand and no brand electronic suppliers effectively turns into a fully-functional Android tablet market.

Here is none branded Google Android 2.2 MID tablet PC, with the 7 inch TFT LCD screen, and is 800*480 colorful dual-touch resistive screen. The CPU is Via m8650 ARM11 800MHz. The price is amazing low, $78.21, free shipping, which maybe the world’s cheapest tablet PC, which you can never find a better price than this.

But despite the sweet price, don’t expect the same performance or experience as you would from the more powerful Android tablets like the Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab. This tablet PC’s relatively weak processor (800 MHz) has some difficulty keeping up with the operating system. That being said, this cheapest tablet PC is still a great option for casual users. The first thing I thought after spending some time with it was “I bet my mom and my little son would love this.”

If you only plan on doing simple web browsing, emailing, or some simple gaming, this tablet PC may be a very good choice for you.

Here’s what the detailed using experience of it:
When you first install the update, don’t expect your typical Android layout. This is still a none branded one, and it runs a heavily-modified version of Android 2.2. You probably won’t even notice much has changed at first.
The app selection is surprisingly good, considering you don’t have access to the full Android Market. The average user will find everything he or she needs like RSS readers and casual games.
I had some problems with rich games like Angry Birds. Animation stuttered, and Angry Birds completely froze the tablet one time when I tried playing it.
The screen isn’t as bright as the iPad or Xoom’s but it does make it easier to use outdoors. Touch responsiveness is satisfactory, but not as good as other tablets I’ve used.
The new web browser is a bit slow. Scrolling through web pages can be jerky, but I love that Barnes & Noble included Flash support. Videos look great.
The email app is nothing flashy, but it gets the job done. I like that there aren’t any complicated settings. Just log in with your Gmail or other account and the tablet handles the rest.

The standard, preloaded apps work well. You get a media player, email, and Pandora right out of the box.
Again, this tablet isn’t a powerhouse, and it shows in how it handles apps and web browsing. It’s hardly a substitute for most tablets out there. But at a fraction of the price of the cheapest iPad, less than $80, including the shipping cost, I think it’s still a good option for casual users.

Why do you think Google Android tablet PCs could transcend the Apple iPad?

May 20, 2011 by · No Comments · Apple&Accessories, Electronics

Tablet-PC-Android-2-3-8-inch-SAMSUNG-S5PV210-ARM-Cortex

So far as I know, in some large online stores, especially the China wholesale online stores, Google Android tablets PCs have the absolute advantage of prices than ipad. For example, PickEgg, which offers the most varieties of Google Android tablet PCs, and with most of the tablet sold at the price less than $200.

Dell founder and CEO Michael Dell believe Android tablets will eventually overtake Apple’s iPad as the dominant force in the slate market, according to an interview published today in The Wall Street Journal.

Of course, Dell didn’t say exactly when the shift might occur in tablet market dominance. Right now, Apple’s iPad is easily overshadowing the competition. Apple owned 83 percent of the tablet market last year, and IDC expects the company to control between 70 and 80 percent of the tablet market this year. However, he said this may not happen on tomorrow, not the next day. But again, if you look at 18 months ago, Android phones were like, ‘What is that?’ And now there are more Android phones than iPhones and he believes that the same will occur with Android tablets.
Admittedly, Dell has a vested interest in seeing that happen. His company currently offers both 5- and 7-inch Android tablets, known as the Streak. He also pointed out that Dell will continue to double down on Android.

I’ve been tracking tablets since Apple released the iPad, and I have to admit I’m impressed. I’d like an iPad, but the price tag is so much higher than 7″ or 8″ Android OS-based tablets, so my first tablet will probably run Android.

And now, as a student, I want a tablet PC badly, the one that has caught my eye today is the APad 9.7″ Capacitive Freescale i.MX515 A8 1GHz 512MB/8GB Android 2.2 tablet PC with 1.3MP Camera. Speed is 1 GHz, it has 512MB DDR2(On the motherboard)and 8 GB storage (plus TF expansion slot for another 32 GB storage).

Actually, I think the real Google Android system is reliable and I like this kind of tablet PCs. I’ve done some online comparisons and see there are 7″, 8″ and 10.1″ Android tablets that run different versions of Android (1.6, 2.1, 2.2) and have different supported hardware/software features. The hardware features that vary include CPU and clock speed, memory (ranging from 128MB to 1GB), hard drive storage (2 – 8 GB), TF slots for additional memory (max ranging from 16 – 32 GB), cameras (no camera, have web cam, have 1.3 M Pixel cameras – similar to cell phones from 2 – 3 yrs ago), USB Ports (some do, some don’t), and wireless connectivity (a/b/g/n). The main supported software I’ve seen is probably related to the version of Android installed on the tablet. The types of supported video formats varies considerably – only 1 or 2 I looked at support H.264, and only 1 said it supports Flash 10.1.

The secret of quit smoking

May 19, 2011 by · No Comments · Electronics

High-Density-Electronic-Cigarette-USB-Rechargeable-E-cigar

Maybe that all the smokers have known that quitting smoking is not an easy task because it demands great determination and will energy. They all know that nicotine is a highly addictive substance which may make a person essentially crave for a smoke and this stops them from stopping the habit permanently. Even the President of the United States, Barack Obama, appreciates how hard it is to kick the nicotine habit. And it’s a tough habit to break, as he even avoids remaining photographed “falling off of the metaphorical wagon”.

Are you a heavy smoker? Have you ever tried to quit smoking? Actually there are lots of quit smoking goods on the market in the sector, but the most successful solution is the electronic cigarette or we called e-cigarette.

I’ve smoked high nicotine cigarettes all of my life. I started smoking Lucky Strikes 54 years ago. However, I have quit it now with electronic cigarette. And a year ago, I’ve tried quitting smoking a ton of times and it’s something I’ve never been able to do until I have tried the electronic cigarette.

The electronic cigarette is harmless it only contains a modest volume of nicotine, from to 8 milligrams, propylene glycol, and is h2o-centered so the smoke you inhale and exhale is in truth not smoke but vapor, which harms neither your lungs, nor the air. The principle of the electronic cigarette is as simple as possible. It is composed out of a microcomputer, a battery, an atomizer and a cartridge. The battery is activated by means of the microcomputer when inhaling and the microcomputer turns the atomizer on, which vaporized the solution of nicotine in the cartridge.
The electric cigarette does give you the nicotine your body craves and that’s for sure what I need to quit smoking. Though there is simulated smoke comes from e-cigarette, which isn’t real smoke, it’s a water vapor but it looks like smoke when you exhale.

People who are struggling to quit smoking may know that the electronic cigarette is not the first thing that came along for helping us hardcore smokers kick the habit but it may be the most effective one. E- Cigarette can also help smokers save money, because it cost less than buying cigarettes. Pickegg offers the most complete variety of electronic cigarettes and also the healthiest ones. With an e-cigarette, you can smoke anywhere, on the bus, on a plane, anywhere smoking isn’t allowed you can smoke e-cigarette, because it’s not a real cigarette. No cig smoke, no tar, no smell and no tobacco. Always there are the young people who are not smokers are going to get some just for playing cool. The smokers bought them for preparation when they are at the places that they really need a cigarette and can’t have one.

If you are planning to quit smoking you might want to give the electronic cigarette a try. It’s not a new thing now, for there are so many smokers have got its help and have quitted smoking now. If you do not move quickly, you will be out then. I hope all the examples around you can give you the determined to succeed of quitting smoking.
